JUST like the word " surf " has already have 3 meanings. "Surf" can be surf the internet, to ride on the surfboard as sport and the foam made as waves break on rocks or the shore. Therefore, we must use the right word at the correct time. Otherwise, it'll become a laughing things.Besides, the way of pronoun words is really important. I watched a movie "Faulty Tower" last 2 years, this movies was really funny because the bellboys came from another country,so he is not good in English. Then, he creates many funny words and makes the customers feel embarrassed. You can try and watch this movie!
Furthermore, I watched a funny video clip talked about a chinese and an indian do business together. The Chinese girl speak English just like from Chinese translate to English, can also say it is a broken english. For the indian girl, her speaking style is similar to the Chinese girl, just like translate her own language to english. Moreover, they don't pronoun some words correctly, so it seem funning to all of us. And both of them are Malaysian, traditional of Malaysian speaking styles is put "LA", "LO" and etc, at the behind of the sentences.
Other than sharing about meaning of words, I would like to share about that I went for a camp in Genting. This camp was quite memorable to me because it was really different compare to school camp. Of course, it divided into groups and each groups must think about a moto for the groups and presented to all people. Then, the organiser also planned many others games to give us play. In one round, it's the time to comments about the group members and they always using better word to comments to others, just like I learn in Human Com. class, high context cultures value language as a way to maintain social harmony and won't hurt others. For instance, "You can do it better next time!"In that time, I learn that think before say is important, otherwise, many people will get hurt everytime.
