Again, this post shall be on listening, as we haven't had another class on a different topic yet. *big smile*

Back to the point of listening. Listening was something that most of us acquire when we understand things, that's how we generally understanf what people talk about. Even little kids understand, when you tell them to do this, they'll listen to you and do it, unless of course, they WON'T listen to you, because they're stubborn or so, then they won't LISTEN to you, which could get frustrating at times. Admit it, it IS irritating when people don't listen to what you say, whether they're kids or peers your age or full-grown adults, for example : My senior from church was so intent on getting me to go for this Friendship Connection Saturday that is to be held tomorrow, and I personally told him that I had an assignment and a presentation to prepare for by this week, therefore I would be busy. BUT, somehow, he wasn't really listening and taking in what I was saying about being busy and kept insisting that I will definitely have time to do it and that I should put more important things in front, which was this event. When I didn't answer him, he jumped to his own conclusion that I wanted to spend more time with my own friends and I was neglecting the event. He finally shut upped and back down after I raised my voice. The lesson? When people tell you something, LISTEN and don't just fabricate your own story.

Anyways, back to what I was talking about, when I was younger and used to watch movies, I never really listened to what they talk about, I just relied on my reading skills (as, *ahem, self-praise* my reading skills were superb as a kid, but of course, everything, every skill you had detiorates as you grow older, as most adults say :"When I was YOUNGER, I could run around the whole field 100 times." or "When I was younger, I could play netball, run the track, score in every single paper, do very well academically and excel at msot co-curiculum activities [girl scout, boy scout, and every other scout you can find in the world] ), but as i grew older and made more friends which equaled to more movies, I was taught how to listen to the movie while watching rather than reading the subtitles of the movie, which was what I frequently did while watching cantonese series as a didn't understand cantonese, but I could understand malay. Eventually, I learnt how to pick up this skill and I don't have to look at the subtitles anymore. Yip-dee-doo. (My cantonese still sucks though, I can just understand it, which is fairly well for me, who learned it through watching cantonese dramas *smileee*)

Thought of Human Communication so far : Rat Race, I have watched today :D
